Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Busisiwe 2.0 is a bold, borderless fusion of Afropop, Amapiano, Gospel, and Afrobeats. More than just a sonic evolution, the album reflects Cici’s growth as a woman anchored in faith, vulnerability, and vision. From the chest-thumping rhythms of Konakele ft. Naledi Aphiwe, to the love-soaked groove of Falling For You ft. Boypee and Hyce, each track pulses with intention and soul.
“This album is a return to self,” says Cici. “A deep breath after the chaos. A prayer whispered in gratitude. A loud affirmation of who I am and where I come from.”
The album builds on the momentum of her chart-topping hit Amen — a breakout anthem that became a national sensation and reaffirmed Cici’s position as one of South Africa’s most anointed voices.
Busisiwe 2.0 features an impressive lineup of collaborators from across the continent, including Boypee, Praiz, and Hyce from Nigeria, Mimi Marz from Tanzania, and local talents Zuko, Mthunzi, and rising star Kite. Whether it’s the rousing cry of Inkululeko, the devotional high of Impumelelo, or the tender intimacy of Falling For You, the album speaks fluently to every soul and every stage of the journey.
“Busisiwe 2.0 is not just a follow-up — it’s not a rebirth, it’s a returning to self,” Cici adds. “It represents healing, elevation, and bold expression. I’ve collaborated with artists I admire deeply to create something that is truly African, truly honest, and truly me.”
With this project, Cici once again cements her legacy as a generational voice of healing, hope, and heart.
