Acclaimed South African producer and sonic storyteller Vico Da Sporo invites listeners into a world of reflection, nostalgia, and emotional release with the arrival of his new album, Let It Be.
Described by the artist as simply “good music for memories,” Let It Be is a deeply personal and sonically rich body of work that captures the moments, emotions, and experiences that shape us. Rooted in Vico Da Sporo’s signature soulful sound, the album seamlessly blends Deep House foundations with explorations into Amapiano and Afro Tech, creating a listening experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly expansive.
Across the project, Vico Da Sporo leans into the power of collaboration, bringing together a diverse cast of artists including 4by, FATE, Sbonga & Xolani Mabuya, Sbo & Lufu, ICO, K Motion, Lufu, Njilour, AZANA, and Natasha MD. Each contributor adds a unique texture to the album, helping build a collection that is emotionally resonant, dancefloor-ready, and rich with storytelling.
Let It Be is an album about surrender. It is about accepting life’s twists and turns, making peace with the past, and finding beauty in the memories that remain. Whether through uplifting grooves, soulful melodies, or introspective songwriting, Vico Da Sporo creates a soundtrack for moments of reflection and connection.
Leading the project is focus track “Let’s Just Let It Go” featuring FATE. The song embodies the spirit of the album, pairing warm production with heartfelt lyricism to explore themes of release, healing, and emotional freedom. Together, Vico Da Sporo and FATE deliver a powerful reminder that sometimes growth begins when we learn to let go.
With Let It Be, Vico Da Sporo continues to affirm his place as one of South Africa’s most versatile and emotionally intuitive producers, crafting music that lingers long after the final note. It is an album made for late-night drives, quiet reflections, shared memories, and the moments in between.
