The Taste Master Junior Returns for Season 2 – Entries Now Open!

Following the sweet success of its first season, The Taste Master Junior is back for a second helping – and it promises to be bigger, bolder, and even more delicious! Proudly headlined by Clover, The Taste Master Junior season 2 invites South Africa’s most talented young chefs and bakers to show off their culinary creativity and compete for the ultimate junior foodie crown.

Entries are now open for kids with a passion for cooking, baking, and creating magic in the kitchen. Whether you’re a budding pastry prodigy or a mini master chef in the making, now is your time to shine!
Hopeful contestants aged between 13 and 17 can enter via the official Taste Master website or by submitting their audition via WhatsApp. To enter, applicants must complete the form and upload a short video introducing themselves and showcasing their cooking or baking skills using their favourite Clover products. Contestants may also upload up to three images of dishes or bakes they’ve made as an optional extra. All details, including terms and conditions, can be found on the entry page. But hurry – entries close Friday, 27 June 2025.
The stakes are high this season – the winner of The Taste Master Junior season 2 will take home a cash prize of R200,000, courtesy of Capitec Bank.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be the headline partner of The Taste Master Junior,” says Chipo Kamukwamba, Brand Manager at Clover. “At Clover, we believe in nurturing young talent and sparking creativity in the kitchen from an early age. This show is such a joyful celebration of imagination, flavour and heart, and we’re proud to help bring it to life.”
The first season of The Taste Master Junior captured hearts across South Africa, celebrating the passion, personality, and potential of our young foodies.
“Bringing the show back for a second season was a no-brainer,” says Patience Stevens, Managing Director of Cardova Productions. “The response to Season 1 was phenomenal – from viewers, parents, and of course, the contestants themselves. It was inspiring, it was fun, and it showcased an incredible range of young talent. We can’t wait to do it all again!”
With Clover on board, R200,000 up for grabs thanks to Capitec, and a new cast of pint-sized chefs ready to shine, The Taste Master Junior Season 2 is set to serve up another unforgettable adventure made with love— one dish at a time.
The second season of The Taste Master Junior is set to premiere on Tuesday, 7 October at 7:30PM on SABC2.
