MATH Wine Club Presents an Evening with Spier Wines

At MATH Restaurant, every gathering is shaped by intention, where good taste, good company, and moments worth remembering come together. The MATH Wine Club brings this ethos to life through curated monthly experiences that connect winemakers, enthusiasts, and the city’s creative community.

The next edition takes place on Thursday, 26 March at Waterfall Corner, with guests welcomed from 18:00 for an 18:30 start. This evening welcomes back Spier Wines, whose exceptional selection will be paired with an exclusive four-course menu.

One of South Africa’s oldest and most celebrated working wine farms, Spier is rooted in a philosophy of good wine from good people, grown in good soil. The evening will centre around a showcase of their iconic wines, thoughtfully paired to highlight both craftsmanship and character.

Designed to make wine culture both refined and accessible, the MATH Wine Club champions discovery through storytelling. Each tasting becomes a shared moment, each pour an invitation to connect. True to the spirit of MATH, wine appreciation here is communal rather than exclusive, welcoming both seasoned enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike.

“There’s a certain magic that unfolds when great wine meets great company,” says Puleng Mathabathe, Founder of MATH. “Our community asked for more of that magic, and the Wine Club is our way of creating a space where connection, curiosity, and culture come together. It’s an extension of our motto, When We Gather.

Founded in 1692, Spier is one of Stellenbosch’s earliest farms, where heritage and innovation exist side by side. From its historic Cape Dutch architecture and centuries-old wine cellar to its commitment to regenerative farming and contemporary South African art, Spier continues to evolve while remaining deeply rooted in its legacy.

Guests are invited to be part of this thoughtfully curated evening, where exceptional wine, considered cuisine, and meaningful connection come together in true MATH fashion. Seats are limited, and early booking is encouraged to secure a place at the table.
