PEP is proud to announce the return of the much-loved PEP mini Netball programme for 2026, continuing its mission to uplift and empower young girls across South Africa through the power of sport.
Following the remarkable success of previous years, the programme is back, bigger and stronger, with nine coaching sessions kicking off from 16 April 2026, alongside 40 netball festivals set to take place across all nine provinces.
Now firmly established as a cornerstone of grassroots sport development since 2023, PEP mini Netball continues to create meaningful opportunities for girls aged u7, u8 and u9 to learn, play, and grow in a supportive and inspiring sports community. Over 20,000 girls have participated in the programme since its launch, and over 1,270 coaches have attended the coaching sessions, equipping them with the skills and confidence to nurture young talent in their communities.

Dumisani Chauke, PEP mini Netball Ambassador, adds: “Seeing the growth of these young players year-on-year has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to be back on the ground, working with coaches and players who are shaping the future of South African netball.”
The coaching sessions will once again be led by a team of expert facilitators, including PEP mini Netball Ambassador, Dumisani Chauke, Dr. Elsje Jordaan, sports scientist from Sportisimo and Golden Fireballs coach, and Minnette Dempsey, motivational speaker and team culture coach. Together, they will equip coaches and volunteers with the tools and knowledge to nurture young talent. These sessions, alongside the nationwide festivals, aim to strengthen community ties while growing participation in netball.
