PEP HOME Redefines Affordable Living at Decorex 2026

Decorex is where the industry sets the trends, but PEP HOME is where the country buys them. With this clear vision, PEP HOME is proud to announce its participation in Decorex 2026, marking a strategic shift in brand engagement and demonstrating that high-quality, aspirational design does not require a high price point.

“PEP remains dedicated to making it possible for everyone to look and feel good by offering trusted products and services – always at the lowest possible prices.” Says Beyers van der Merwe, Chief Marketing Officer at PEP.

“Our decision to join this year’s Decorex exhibition is to showcase that South Africans don’t need to spend a fortune when it comes to aspirational style and design in the living space.”

The centrepiece of PEP HOME’s exhibit is the “Stormy” blanket, a product that is very familiar to most South Africans. The blanket’s somewhat iconic, simplistic design of deep grey with white stripes can represent so much more than just a blanket. It can signify warmth, comfort, a feeling of home…and even be turned into furniture, a light fitting or even a wall covering.

The concept goes beyond product display to explore how one item can redefine a space. PEP HOME has collaborated with the women of McGregor to craft bespoke pieces, infusing the installation with genuine human stories and craftsmanship. The goal is to demonstrate that transformation lies not in acquiring more, but in seeing differently.

The exhibit features a curated mix of repurposed furniture and contemporary designs, offering an environment that invites discovery. Key highlights include:

  • Sensory Storytelling: A “cave-like,” sound-dampened structure that shields guests from expo noise, allowing for a moment of calm and focus on texture, scent, and sight.
  • Accessible Tech: Bridging the gap between physical experience and digital convenience, with tablets integrated throughout the exhibit to facilitate PEP HOME’s online shopping service.
  • Human Connection: Elevating the narrative by showcasing the artisans behind the designs, ensuring that exhibit goers can see the care and craftsmanship in every thread.

Visit the PEP HOME exhibition at Decorex from the 30th of July – 2nd of August 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre. You can also shop the PEP HOME Decorex collection online at pepstores.com
