November’s diary fills up quickly. Leave a little room for dinner with a live soundtrack at The 11th Floor, where the month’s music line-up brings vocalists, violin, guitar and sax to the Bedfordview rooftop.

Performances run from Wednesday to Sunday, alongside Mediterranean-inspired dishes, cocktails and a wine list worth taking your time over. Make it a midweek dinner for two, gather friends for a Friday catch-up or round off the weekend over a Sunday meal as the city lights come on.

On the November line-up:

Roland Moses

Roland Moses opens the month on 1 November, returning on 18 November. The jazz pianist and composer’s debut album, Paths of Light, includes African Sun, which won Best Jazz Song at the Mzantsi Jazz Awards. His performances have taken him to festivals locally and internationally.

Lindzi Moore

Lindzi Moore brings cello to the rooftop on 4 and 15 November. A co-founder of Johannesburg string ensemble String Things, she also performs contemporary arrangements as a solo cellist, offering a different sound for a midweek dinner or Sunday evening out.

Casper Esau takes his turn on 5 and 21 November. The Johannesburg-raised saxophonist has performed with Mafikizolo, Mobi Dixon and Dr Duda of Mi Casa, with experience spanning television productions, live bands and a six-month residency in Bahrain.

Hana Yim-Wahl

Hana Yim-Wahl performs on 13 November. The violinist’s career crosses orchestral and contemporary music, including appearances with Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé and Dave Stewart. She is also a founding member of The Scullery Quintet, which blends classical, jazz and pop.

The month also features René Hunter, Costa Nicolas, Ntsiki Ntsele, Wowo Mndau, Chez Wilson, Malusi Masia, Savina On Sax and Tshephisaxy. Visit The 11th Floor’s events page for the full programme or follow@the11thfloorview for weekly line-ups.
