The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa presents ‘Tastes of the Valley’ – an Afternoon of Constantia Wines and Summer Cuisine (15 November 2025)

The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa will present its inaugural Tastes of the Valley event on Saturday, 15 November 2025, celebrating Constantia’s finest wines, perfectly paired with a taste of the hotel’s delectable cuisine. This relaxed, elegant wine tasting event will unfold in the hotel’s celebrated gardens, offering guests the opportunity to explore the wines of six of the neighbouring Constantia Valley wine estates in one location.

Guests are invited to sip and stroll through a relaxed tasting journey, featuring a hand-selected range of wines from Beau Constantia, Eagles’ Nest, Buitenverwachting, Groot Constantia, Steenberg Vineyards, and Constantia Glen, each showcasing three to four of their signature wines. This thoughtfully curated collection will highlight the diversity, quality, and character of Constantia’s wine offering, from elegant whites to structured reds and everything in between.

The accompanied culinary experience will be led by The Cellars-Hohenort’s Executive Chef, Tronette Dippenaar and Head Chef, Daniel Blignaut, who will present a delicious selection of small bites from the Conservatory Restaurant’s new summer menu. Featuring fresh, locally inspired ingredients that reflect the essence of summer in the Cape, it will include West Coast oysters, Seared-salmon tataki, Steak tartare and Seafood paella arancini, each paired with the wines from a different estate. The summer garden party will conclude with bites of Berry pavlova, and Baked lemon curd, to end the festivities on a sweet note.

Tickets are priced at R485 per person and include a signature tasting glass, wine tastings from all six participating estates, and the culinary experience. Only 100 tickets are available to the adults-only event that is split across two tasting sessions: the first from 12:00 to 15:00 and the second from 14:00 to 17:00, with a maximum of 50 guests per session. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the event responsibly. The use of e-hailing services or other safe transport options is strongly recommended.
