TikTok has unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 Discover List, and six content creators from Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) have made their mark on the global stage. Now in its third consecutive year, the annual list celebrates 50 standout creators across five categories: Icons, Innovators, Foodies, Educators, and Originators.
“We carefully consider all content creators on our platform, selecting finalists based on their impact both on TikTok and in the real world,” says Boniswa Sidwaba, Head of Content Operations, SSA, TikTok. “These creators have sparked trends, started meaningful conversations, showcased creativity, and fostered safe spaces for their communities.”
