Avatar welcomes new managing partner

Avatar is proud to announce the appointment of Nash Koosialee as its new managing partner, effective from the beginning of August 2025. Nash has more than 20 years of experience leading integrated marketing and communications for some of South Africa’s most prominent brands.

Nash’s career spans telecommunications, financial services, FMCG, retail, and healthcare, where she has consistently driven growth, built long-standing client relationships, and delivered award-winning campaigns. She has held senior leadership roles at agencies including Ogilvy and VML, working on flagship accounts such as Vodacom, DStv, Shell and Nestlé.

Recognized as one of the most commercially impactful leaders in her previous agencies, Nash is known for her strategic acumen, collaborative approach, and ability to grow both people and business. She holds a BA in Marketing Communication as well as a Digital Marketing certification, reflecting her deep expertise and understanding of the integrated communication landscape across the brand, retail, and digital disciplines.

Beyond her professional achievements, Nash is passionate about mentorship, team development, and championing women in leadership. As a proud mother of two daughters, she balances her career success with inspiring the next generation of strong, independent women. It’s fitting that she has chosen to embark on the next chapter of her story in such a momentous month, when it comes to recognising great female leadership and achievement in South Africa.
