Discover the perfect gift at Vergelegen

In search of high-quality, distinctive gifts for family, friends, and clients? Vergelegen Wine Estate’s charming Potting Shed Gift Shop, and the Somerset West estate’s well-stocked wine tasting room, are treasure troves waiting to be explored this festive season.

Even better, if you’re pressed for time, you can shop online.

Potting Shed Gift Shop

Situated in a delightfully renovated thatched cottage next to the Rose Terrace Tea Room, the shop offers beautiful gifts for everyone on your festive season list.

Choose from Vergelegen-branded bath, body, home and garden products, or browse a selection of curated accessories, ceramics, delightful children’s toys, confectionery, jams, honey, fresh flowers, and more.

The Potting Shed’s manager Lianne Tyler suggests the following:

·        Scented room sprays, candles and lotions. Fill your home with fragrance.  Choose from dark honey, rose garden and white wisteria scents, which capture the essence of the estate’s beautiful gardens. R320/room spray, R350/ hand washes and lotions, R530/candle.

·        Cheese board: A marble and wood cheeseboard, with four matching knives, R1450.

·        Table napkins: Sets of four embroidered, 100% organic linen napkins, inspired by roses and sweet peas cultivated in the estate gardens.

·        Silk scarves: The range spans silk scarves for R495, to luxurious wraps which combine the softness of cashmere with the warmth of rabbit fur, R5650.

·        Pot plants: Retailing for R120 and R180, complemented by gardening gloves, bird boxes, gardener’s friend whipped tallow butter, and more.

Wine tasting room

Choose from an array of wines, bubblies and eau de vie, suitable for relaxed al fresco meals and special occasions.

·        Cap Classique Brut NV. Crisp citrus flavours, R225/bottle.

·        Pear Eau de Vie. Distilled from Clapp’s pears, harvested from a 30-year-old Vergelegen orchard, R650/bottle.
