Celebrating People, Purpose and the Road Ahead

In 2026, Super Tyres marks 55 years of serving communities across KwaZulu-Natal and beyond. What began as a small family business in 1971 has grown into a trusted tyre and automotive service brand rooted in honesty, integrity and community-focused values.

From the outset, Super Tyres has believed that long-term success is built on relationships rather than transactions. This people-first mindset has shaped the way the business operates, from the way customers are welcomed to how team members are supported and developed.

A culture of growth and connection

Central to the brand are its core values of Growth, Integrity, Family, Fun, Time and Safety. These values guide everyday decisions and reflect a culture where doing the right thing matters. They also underpin Super Tyres’ long-standing commitment to giving back, with ongoing involvement in local initiatives and community projects that reflect the belief of Asibambisane, meaning “let’s carry each other”.

Managing Director Dean Horn says the milestone is a moment of reflection rather than celebration alone. “Reaching 55 years is not about numbers. It is about the people who have walked through our doors, the teams who bring our values to life every day, and the trust that has been built by consistently doing the right thing. We are proud of where we come from and grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey.”

Dean’s own journey reflects the company’s emphasis on continuity and growth. Having joined Super Tyres in 1998, he has witnessed the business evolve while staying true to its founding principles of service, integrity and care.

Looking ahead with purpose

As Super Tyres enters its next chapter, the business is renewing its Vision to “becoming the best tyre retailer in the universe, because creating unmatched customer experience and value drives everything we do.”

Horn says this vision reflects the company’s continued commitment to strengthening connections, supporting communities and ensuring every customer and team member feels valued and safe on the road.

“The future of Super Tyres will always be guided by people, purpose and the responsibility we carry towards our customers, our teams and the communities we serve,” he says.

The milestone is not just a celebration of longevity but of shared values, meaningful relationships and forward momentum together.
